bio
I am a working graphic artist who has evolved with the industry from Exacto knives to the latest generation of powerhouse computer graphic applications. My corporate background includes employment by graphic design studios, advertising agencies and printing companies. I founded Pam Teplitz Commercial Art as a freelance studio to concentrate on independent contract work for small businesses.
For several years, I have increasingly focused on internet-related graphic design, producing HTML email campaigns, landing pages and websites incorporating analytics and metrics to provide the best response rates, click-throughs and conversions. I am affiliated with a marketing relationship company, The Candy Store (www.CandyStoreKid.com).
The Candy Store, for which I am the graphic design partner, was awarded three GD USA American Graphic Design Awards in 2008 for stationary, promotional items and advertising. I look forward to showing you how my award-winning skills can enhance your projects too.
I was the sole graphic designer for the marketing, recruiting and retention division of RE/MAX of California & Hawaii, Inc., the corporate regional service center for RE/MAX Brokers and Owners. Working side-by-side with the marketing and art directors, we created award-winning designs for a wide variety of marketing and advertising collateral including: a monthly six-page spread of recruiting ads for a statewide publication, monthly newsletters in multiple formats, postcard campaigns, institutional ad panels for local and national newspapers, posters, billboards and transportation signage, invitations, programs, and Flash intranet ads. I was instrumental in developing a comprehensive online intranet website for RE/MAX Sales Associates and offices, including an introductory interactive CD package.
I also maintained an archive of all digital materials and provided graphic support for the 20-person administrative, training and education, public relations and statistical analysis staff until the RE/MAX of California & Hawaii Regional Service Center ceased operation in 2007.
Through membership in the Printing Industries Association of Southern California, the MediaPost Community, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and the LA Adobe Users Group, I stay connected to the latest advances and trends in the graphic design industry.
In addition to my undergraduate studies in Comparative Cultures at the University of California in Irvine, I have continued to update my skills with classes in computer and internet programming, graphic design, computer graphics and Flash animation at UCLA Extension, Otis Art Institute and Santa Monica College.
